Pharmacy technician for COMPOUNDING PHARMACY LAB.

At Western Colorado Compounding Pharmacy we make customized medication for our human and pet patients. This is a fast paced environment that’s always challenging and interesting. We get to combine our knowledge of medicine and chemistry to come up with unique solutions for our patients. Our technicians have the ability to help the team with the challenges that arise when making unique and custom dosage forms.

• Must be located in Grand Junction, Colorado.
• Experience in a compounding pharmacy is a plus.
• Any lab experience will be helpful.
• Must be able to work on your feet.
• Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability is required.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with a team to accomplish a goal is a must.

Duties

• Organizing prescriptions to be compounded for efficiency.
• Using and maintaining a precision balance in a powder hood.
• Making tablets, capsules, creams, ointments, gels, and many other custom dosages of medications.
• Keeping drugs and excipient ingredients stocked and organized.
• Correctly packaging and labeling medications for specific patient needs.
• Using and maintaining modern compounding and lab equipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the compounding area.

You must be highly self motivated, have meticulous attention to detail, and be punctual.

Salary: $17.00 to $25.00 /hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
