Western Carolina University is Hiring an Equipment operator Near Cullowhee, NC
Position Summary
The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
The primary responsibilities of the position is the operation of the campus garbage truck for the purpose of picking up and disposing of garbage / waste generated on campus.
This is carried out by daily following the prescribed route on campus picking up dumpsters, containers or other forms of collection units and then transporting collected material to the University SRC or directed disposal point.
Also responsible for general care and maintenance of truck, maintenance of collection units and cleaning of collection points.
Employee will also perform grounds related maintenance tasks as assign such as mowing, weed-eating, leaf blowing, mulching, etc.
Employee is also required to provide snow removal support and special event support.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position Experience in the operation and routine maintenance of large trucks, snow removal and general grounds maintenance.
Must have a valid North Carolina Drivers License. Minimum Qualifications
Sufficient experience to operate assigned vehicles or equipment.
Additional Requirements : Must possess necessary licenses or certifications to operate assigned types of vehicles or equipment.
