Description

Position Summary:

The person in this position will be clinically responsible for all residential treatment services, client care, staff training, development, and management. This position is also directly responsible for clinical staff development including providing direct clinical supervision for any staff pursuing supervision for licensure. Essential Job Functions include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Interview and hire residential clinical staff with advice and consent from the Clinical Services Director, Residential Services Director, Regional Vice-President, Director/Manager of Human Resources, and other staff as appropriate.
  • Responsible for training and supervision of all Residential clinical program staff.
  • Help ensure that we are implementing and using EBP.
  • Familiar with MAT
  • Develop and help grow programs specifically in mental health treatment and co-occurring diagnoses.
  • Clinical Supervision of clinical staff and assistance in helping staff achieve licensure and credentials.
  • Develop clinical staff work schedules and assign daily responsibilities to ensure proper coverage for all shifts.
  • Ensure that all clinical duties are completed on time and in accordance with WestCare procedures.
  • Review each clinical employee’s job performance annually (or more often if necessary). Make recommendations to the Clinical Services Director and Residential Services Director regarding employee advancement and retention.
  • Provide clinical supervision of assigned treatment team verifying compliance with WestCare treatment procedures and all applicable contract requirements regularly.
  • Provide quality improvement reviews on all counselor files monthly, initiating corrective action as needed.
  • Assist and make recommendations to the Clinical Services Director, Residential Services Director and VP of Operations regarding program design, development, and implementation of additional services.
  • Responsible for all aspects of treatment for all clients in the program.
  • Review, modify and/or approve all treatment plans.
  • Report any unusual behavior or behaviors that could indicate other problems.
  • Provide crisis intervention in accordance with WestCare procedures.
  • Provide regular management reports regarding programs and clients to the Program Director.
  • Meet with staff and the treatment team once a week.
  • Report to the Clinical Services Director and/or Residential Services Director at a minimum of once weekly.
  • Respond to and give direction in all emergencies that would necessitate intervention.
  • Ensure that all required policies and procedures of WestCare are carried out.
  • Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience within the last five (5) years at the management level
  • Holds current Florida License as LMHC, LCSW or LMFT preferred or Minimum Registered Intern
  • Experience with Department of Corrections preferred.

Education:

  • Minimum Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, childhood education, education counseling, and/or similar course of study; MCAP required.

Working Conditions:

  • Tasks may be performed in an office.
  • Fast-paced environment.
  • A minimum of 40 hours per week are expected but significantly more hours will be required from time to time. Completion of job duties may require working some evenings and/or weekends. Regular attendance is required. Being able to work as many hours as is necessary to complete job tasks is a required and essential duty of this position.
