Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials management, production planning, and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that support production and operational goals
- Coordinate with suppliers to procure materials in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate stock levels
- Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Programs and other software such as Construction/Purchase Order Software, Asset Tracking Software, and Web-Based Ordering Software.
- Ability to calculate figures and amount such as discounts, interest, taxes, etc.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
