Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Leasing Consultant. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for assisting prospective residents with finding their ideal home and ensuring a smooth leasing process. Your knowledge of property management, fair housing regulations, and excellent customer service skills will be essential in this role.
Duties:
- Greet and assist prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner
- Conduct property tours, showcasing the features and amenities of available units
- Provide accurate information about rental rates, lease terms, and move-in specials
- Process rental applications, including verifying applicant information and conducting background checks
- Prepare lease agreements and ensure all required documents are properly executed
- Coordinate move-in logistics, including scheduling move-in dates and conducting new resident orientations
- Respond to resident inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of leasing activities using a customer relationship management (CRM) system or other designated software
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor pricing, and industry best practices
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of property management principles and practices
- Familiarity with fair housing regulations and laws governing leasing activities
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software for tracking work orders and maintenance requests
- Ability to negotiate lease terms and contracts effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and prospective tenants
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail when preparing lease agreements, maintaining resident files, and documenting leasing activities
