West Madison Urgent & Primary Care is Hiring a Part-time Nurse Practitioner Near Madison, AL

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to patients. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need of quality healthcare.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, injuries, and conditions
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Prescribe medications and other treatments as necessary
- Perform procedures such as suturing, and phlebotomy
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding their healthcare needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation using electronic health record systems (we use AthenaOne)
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care or emergency room setting

- Experience in ICU or emergency room setting prior to becoming a nurse practioner
- Proficient in performing procedures such as suturing and phlebotomy
- Strong knowledge of medical systems and electronic health record platforms (e.g., AthenaOne)

Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Alabama
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
