West Coast Trial Lawyers, a Downtown Los Angeles law firm, seeks a Lien Negotiator for their Personal Injury Department.

No experience? No problem! We are open to all entry-level applicants who are searching for an opportunity to start their professional journey within the legal field. At WCTL we will provide you with all the necessary tools and in-depth training to successfully navigate personal injury claims. The ideal candidate must be eager to learn and work in a team environment where growth is dictated by the effort they put in.

Your Responsibilities (upon completion of training):

• Assemble, organize, and itemize client medical bills
• Negotiate medical providers’ liens, attorney fee liens, subrogation liens, and child support liens;
• Obtaining documentation and information from medical providers
• Drafting lien deduction letters
• Submit and obtain liens from: Medi-Cal; Medicare; Kaiser (The Rawlings Company) etc.
• Communicate with clients regarding their settlements:
• Case management

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess excellent computer user skills
• Well-organized and detail-oriented
• Easily operate in a fast-paced work environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Reliable and punctual
• Excellent written, verbal, and organization skills
• Must attach resume and a writing sample with application

PREFERENCES

• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Experience handling personal injury matters
• Knowledge of any legal software program (Filevine, Abacus Law, Clio, etc.)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
