RESIDENT TEACHER -Must hold a valid NYS Certification as a NYS Teacher
The Resident Teacher is responsible for providing instructional and behavioral support to students under the direct supervision of a classroom teacher.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with teachers to address individual needs of students
- Work with students individually or in small groups, under supervision
- Assist in classroom management
- Use materials effectively and keep activity focused on objective
- Attend professional development training
- Co-teach instructionally with classroom teacher
- Plan with grade level team
- Other duties may be determined
- Opportuniites to work afterschool programming
