Shipping Clerk Overview
Weschler Instruments is a leading, global manufacturer and distributor of measurement and control equipment. Customers worldwide use our products in power plants, steel mills, chemical plants, paper mills and other industrial applications that require rugged, reliable and accurate instrumentation. The Company is headquartered in Strongsville, Ohio with manufacturing operations in Coral Springs, Florida and various sales offices throughout the country. We are pleased to be hiring a full-time or part-time Shipping Clerk in our Strongsville facility.
Responsibilities for Shipping Clerk
- Final packing and shipment of product from Strongsville facility
- Majority of small parcel shipping required
- Provide shipping estimates to sales for international and other payment in advance customers
- Ability to evaluate and decide which shipping method is optimal based on numerous factors
Qualifications for Shipping Clerk
- Previous experience with shipping methods including but not limited to UPS, FedEx and DHL
- Full knowledge of available shipping methods and requirements which include: forms, software interfaces, weight limits, etc.
- Ability to adequately package products for undamaged delivery using cost effective methods
