Job DescriptionReporting to the Superintendent but responsible for overseeing and inspecting the paving crew in all phases of the project.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

- Interpret and implement construction plans.
- Read, understand, interpret and enforce safety policies and practices.
- Assist the Superintendent with scheduling the projects in logical steps based upon employee and equipment availability and completion dates.
- Coordinate the requisition of supplies and material with the Superintendent.
- Confer with managers, sub-contractors, and Project Managers on a daily basis or as needed.
- Must be willing to work the hours needed to complete projects in a timely manner while meeting quality standards.
- Manage paving crew to ensure that Werner Construction's high quality standards are consistently met.

Qualifications:
- Must have some concrete paving experience
- The ability to read, understand and implement construction drawing is required.
- Must possess excellent organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
- This position requires a self-starter who is highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to read and understand project plans.
- Must be able to effectively manage employees and work with other Management staff.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is recommended.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
