We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Service Writer to join our team at Werks Powersports. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in our motorcycle service department by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth communication between customers and our service department. If you have a passion for motorcycles and possess strong mechanical knowledge, this is an opportunity to contribute to our team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with a warm welcome to the service department
- Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document their vehicle's issues
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify necessary repairs or maintenance
- Communicate with customers regarding recommended services, estimated costs, and timelines
- Prepare accurate and detailed service estimates for customer approval
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Maintain open lines of communication with customers throughout the repair process
- Provide updates on the status of repairs and address any additional concerns or questions
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently
Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems
- Familiarity with automotive service procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using computer software for service writing, auto estimating, and documentation purposes
