Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist who is looking for part time work to join our office team. We are a restaurant group with over 600 employees in the greater upstate area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll and should be proficient in payroll systems and tools like Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for employees accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with the HR team to address payroll-related inquiries
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly
- Manage paid time off accruals
- Manage verification of employment requests and garnishment orders
-Assist other departments as needed.
Skills:
The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in payroll practices such as direct deposits and returns, taxes, W4's, W2s, garnishments, benefit deductions and PTO
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as Workday, Paychex, ProLiant, or ADP
- Strong understanding of financial concepts related to payroll processing
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, along with a general computer knowledge.
Work Schedule
Our two regularly scheduled payrolls are bi-weekly on alternating weeks.
Store Payroll Week - Required hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8:30-2:00, with a 30-minute break. Total worked hours for this week will be 20
Management Payroll Week - Required hours will be Monday-Wednesday, 8:30-2:00 with a 30-minute break. Total worked hours for this week will be 15
- Remote work is only allowed in special circumstances and must be approved by management
- Any additional hours worked must be approved by management in advance
Benefits & Paid Time Off:
