Wendel is looking to hire an enthusiastic and highly motivated future Civil or Environmental Engineer to Intern part-time (2-3 days per week) for the Summer and work directly with our Engineering Business Development Manager out of our Alexandria, VA office. Our internship program provides hands-on practical experience for students while potentially developing the individual to take on a full-time role with Wendel post-graduation.

Internship Purpose: 

• Assist with engineering business development efforts including content creation. 
• Collaborate with team members to help prepare and coordinate proposal efforts.
• Assist with research, report preparation, design, and specification/plan preparation for assigned projects, primarily related to water and wastewater treatment, distribution, collection and storage systems. 
• Develop abstracts, presentations and social media content from technical reports, inspection reports, and from general research.

Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering degree at an accredited institution.
• Excellent PC skills.
• Microsoft Office software experience required.
• Strong writing and data visualization skills. 
• Strong desire to learn and grow within Civil or Environmental Engineering and Business Development.
• Ability to work on-site.

Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $ 22
