ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet
customer requirements
? Responsible for continuing programs of exploration for new materials,
suppliers, and processes to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices,
continuity, and delivery
? Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory
? Supervise, evaluate and coach raw material receiving team members
? Interfaces with product line coordinators on the planning and forecasting of
customer orders to meet shipments
? Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers along with Purchase
supplies and materials according to specifications
? Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in
connection with all materials department functions
? Recommending solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase
quantity.
? Recording and assessing all materials quality, movement, and expenditure.
? Managing the distribution of supplies in the organization.
? Monitoring inventory levels and access to the material.
? Collaborating with management to plan forecasting models.
? Preparing and filing detailed records on procurement activity, quantity, and
vendors.
? Designing and maintaining department budgets
? Coordinating with the Global sourcing team in regards to incoming Raw
Materials
? Coordinate with Customer nominated vendors for order specific tickets
? Coordinate with Logistics for scheduled deliveries and dock appointment
windows
? Monitors shipping windows and ensures orders are completed timely to avoid
detention charges.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
? 3 years' experience in logistics role or related experience
? Ability to lead team members
? Customer service-oriented
? Familiarity with supply chain and inventory management systems
? Knowledgeable of forecasting and budgeting
? Ability to solve problems swiftly
? Working knowledge of SAP
? Excellent organizational and leadership skills
? Proficient in Microsoft Office
QUALIFICATIONS: Education and/or Experience:
? Bachelor?s degree in relevant field is preferred
? 5 year?s related experience (manufacturing, supply chain, inventory control).
