Join Our Team as an Automation Controls Specialist!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level in the world of automation controls? We're seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in Grove City, OH, as an Automation Controls Specialist. As part of our team, you'll play a crucial role in leading automation controls projects, performing basic programming on various systems, and ensuring seamless production operations.
What You'll Do:
- Perform basic programming on PLCs, motor controllers, vision inspection systems, laser marking systems, and robotics.
- Lead automation controls projects with minimal supervision.
- Interpret and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD.
- Maintain electric motor drive technology and analyze problems related to electrical power distribution.
- Update, modify, and continuously improve existing control systems, including robotics and pneumatic/hydraulic distribution.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams on control system modifications or installations.
What We're Looking For:
2 Year Technical Degree preferred OR minimum 2 Year College Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Prior Manufacturing experience REQUIRED.
Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, DC Drivers, Vision Inspection, Laser Marking, Robotics, and Electric Motor Drive Technologies REQUIRED.
Ability to troubleshoot independently and identify root causes of issues.
Willingness to work 2nd shift and/or weekends on occasion.
Working knowledge of the following controls, interfaces, electrical components and advanced assembly systems: PLC (Bechkoff, Keyence, Siemens, Schneider, Toshiba, etc.), HMI, DC Driver, Vision Inspection, Laser Marking, Robotics, and Electric Motor Drive Technologies (i.e. VFD, Servo, Encoder, etc.), is REQUIRED.
Previous work experience with installing, maintaining, dismantling, repairing, overhauling and rebuilding electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment and components such as electric power distribution circuits, electric lighting, electric climate control systems, electric appliances, wiring, and controls.
Ability to troubleshoot independently, identify root cause of issues and reporting it to the Supervisor/Manager.
Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines.
Must be opened to working 2nd shift AND/OR weekends, on some occasion
