We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced 50 Ton Crane Operator to join our team. As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for operating a 50 Ton overhead crane to lift, move, and position steel coil in various locations outside and inside the plant. This is a critical role that requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and control crane to lift, move, and position steel coils
- Cut the coil band by using band cutter
-Safely pick up and remove coil front end and tail end with dog clamp from SCCM plate
- Assist maintenance crew in fixing of machine during breakdowns.
-Do daily coil count at the end of the shift same report to forming supervisor also mention that how many coils received and loaded to decoiler.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe operation of the crane
- Inspect equipment before each use to ensure it is in proper working condition
- Assist maintenance crew in fixing of machine during breakdowns.
- Rig loads properly and securely for safe lifting
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards for crane operation
Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience:
-High School diploma
- Proven 2 years' experience in crane operation and handling of heavy material
- Familiarity with different types of cranes such as boom trucks and backhoes
- Proficiency in rigging loads and securing them safely
- Knowledge of steel manufacturing
- Ability to operate a forklift and other related equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
