SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as an Accounting Administrator with a focus on cash receipts, tenant billing, and accounts receivable management. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes, with responsibilities ranging from daily cash receipt reconciliation to assisting with internal and external audits. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process, reconcile and deposit all cash receipts daily.
• Develop, implement and follow tenant billing procedures, controls and checklists.
• Help assist in cleaning up A/R offsets, tenant ledgers and refunding any money as necessary.
• Create and issue rent statements and invoices.
• Prepare and issue ongoing correspondence including, but not limited to, rent increase letters and delinquency reports.
• Assist in the seamless accounting transitions of properties during acquisitions and dispositions.
• Assisting team with providing information related to internal and external audits.
• Performing other duties as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience: Reading and interpreting real estate leases/contracts is preferred. Knowledge of accounting theory is preferred.

Education: College degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or a minimum of three (3) years accounts receivable experience.
