Job Summary:
The CareerCare Navigator plays a critical role in our healthcare system, serving as a guide and mentor for employees seeking career development and growth opportunities within our organization. This position is designed to support our commitment to internal mobility, professional development, and retention. The CareerCare Navigator will work closely with employees at all levels to understand their career goals, skills, and interests, and to identify pathways for advancement within our healthcare system. The CareerCare Navigator will provide a personalized approach in guiding team members through the internal mobility process that will include but not limited to; guidance, facilitation, and navigation of team members "career experience" within Wellstar Health System.
By providing personalized support throughout the internal recruitment and exploration process, the CareerCare Navigator will support team members in achieving their professional career goals while contributing to the success of Wellstar Health System. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare roles, career pathways, and professional development strategies within a complex environment (healthcare environment preferred).
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Career Advisement, Support, and Planning
- Assist employees in creating personalized career development plans by identifying career goals, and partnering to understand opportunities for impact, Conduct one-on-one career navigation sessions with employees to assess their career aspirations, strengths, and developmental needs.
- Develop personalized career development plans in collaboration with employees, outlining clear steps and timelines for achieving their career goals
- Guide employees through the internal job application process, including resume preparation, application submission, and interview preparation.
- Facilitate connections between employees and internal opportunities that match their career aspirations and skill sets.
- Organize and deliver workshops and training sessions on career development topics, such as resume writing, interview skills, and career planning.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the healthcare system's organizational structure, job roles, and career paths to effectively advise employees.
- Stay informed on industry trends, educational opportunities, and certifications that could benefit employees' career growth.
- Maintaining ongoing intentional and strategic conversation with “bench of talent” 50% Stakeholder Collaboration
- Developing opportunities for close cohesion with organizational partners such as HR, department leaders, and training teams to ensure alignment between employee career aspirations and organizational needs and proposing solutions.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and scalability of workforce programs. 25% Career Growth Monitoring
- Track and report on metrics related to career counseling sessions, employee progress, and successful internal transitions.
- Utilize data analytics to track and measure workforce development and talent pipelines health
- Generate regular reports on program performance, scalability, and participant outcomes. 15% Feedback Collection
- Regularly collect and review feedback from team members and leaders to improve the internal mobility and career development processes 10%
Required Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Human Resources Management or Bachelors Counseling or Bachelors Economics

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 3 years career counseling, talent development, talent acquisition or HR Required and
Minimum 1 year in a healthcare environment Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
Strong understanding of the healthcare industry as well as pathways within a healthcare ecosystem preferred; Experience improving internal recruitment processes highly desired.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage all levels of the organization
Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decisions
