Reports to: Assistant Program Director

Hours:40 hours per week, occasional evenings and weekends

Location: Duluth

Position Summary: The Direct Care Coach Supervisor is responsible for leading the direct care team assigned to their designated schedule in the daily care and supervision of the Women’s Residential Program (WRP) participants. The Direct Care Coach Supervisor supports the leadership, oversight, and supervision of the Direct Care Coaches, volunteers, and participants. The Direct Care Coach Supervisor will work closely with the Program’s Assistant Director to supervise and coordinate daily staff and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. This role provides a supportive environment for the Direct Care team to meet organizational goals, and support individual participant goals by providing high-quality therapeutic and life skills services.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Effectively manage the performance of the direct care staff, ensuring collaboration and consistency across shifts and individuals
  • Lead by example with the strength-based approach with participants and staff
  • Provide leadership support, delegation of daily responsibilities and projects, and scheduling management for direct care staff 
  • Ensure appropriate coverage at all times by maintaining the direct care staff schedule, addressing coverage gaps including providing coverage as needed
  • Assists with onboarding of new coaches
  • Provides on-the-job training individually with new coaches
  • Coordinates ongoing training for all coaches to meet benchmark goals
  • Provides quarterly group PRN Coach Supervision 
  • Serves as the on-call supervisor for general questions from Direct Care Coaches
  • Manages leave requests and time in ADP
  • Conducts 90-day reviews, as well as mid-year and annual performance reviews for Direct Care Coaches assigned to them
  • Support proper medication oversight, including administering random drug screens and following medication protocol to administer and document medication use of participants
  • Attend all mandatory trainings and staff meetings
  • Utilize all trained skills including the strength-based approach with participants and staff
  • Ensure effective documentation, including balanced living sheets for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system 
  • Ensure Direct Care Coaches are following all WRP policies and procedures, including support for both Coaching staff and participant compliance with the Participant Handbook 
  • Provide care, and ensure the direct care staff provides care, to program participants without regard to race, gender, ethnicity, religious or spiritual beliefs 
  • Provide care, and ensure the direct care staff provides care, that is culturally competent for participants wondering about their sexuality or gender identity

Professional Qualifications:

  • Never have been shown by credible evidence (e.g., a court or jury, a department investigation, or other reliable evidence) to have abused, neglected, sexually exploited, or deprived a child or adult or to have subjected any person to serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly serious injury as a result of intentional or grossly negligent misconduct as evidenced by an oral or written statement to this effect obtained at the time of application and evidence of having made efforts to obtain and evaluate references from previous employers
  • Documentation of references (at least two professional and one personal) that attest to the person’s capability of performing the duties of the position and to the person’s suitability of working with or around children and vulnerable populations
  • Administrative, organizational, and computer skills including use of email and Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience providing services to women in a residential setting, specifically those who are survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSEC) or those exposed to trafficking and complex trauma

Position Requirements:

  • Moderate local travel required related to program and training needs, as well as occasional travel beyond the metro Atlanta area 
  • Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds and work for long periods at a computer 
  • Satisfactory criminal history background check 
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record
