Since 1982 Wellspring has been a champion for mental health recovery in Louisville, KY. Serving some of the most vulnerable people in our community, Wellspring is a pillar of hope for the thousands of people we serve every year.
We support individuals in building healthy and hopefully lives through behavioral health, housing, and employment services. We believe that recovery is possible for all people with psychiatric disabilities.

Having decent, affordable housing with available recovery-oriented services is fundamental to individual success and is a basic human right.

The Samuel B Todd Center Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) serves up to eight men or women in a community-based setting. Referrals come from community providers and hospitals, and the average length of stay is nine days. SBT Center has an immediate opening for a full time Psychiatric Crisis Unit Rehabilitation Counselor. This position is 3rd shift, beginning at 11 pm.
Job Skills / RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with a major in psychology, sociology or social work and previous experience in a staffed residential setting. Familiarity with mental illness and substance use and abuse recovery is required. Experience in psychiatric rehabilitation working with co-occurring substance use or abuse and mental illness is preferred.
