WellSpan Health Services is Hiring a Neurodiagnostic Technician - Neurodiagnostic Lab - Days Near York, PA

Full Time (80 hours/pay period)

Days

M-F 7:00a to 6:00p rotation, on call rotation, Sundays when on call

General Summary

Performs a variety of neurodiagnostic studies to include EEG, evoked potentials and specialized studies in the EEG laboratory and the Operating Rooms, according to established standards and practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs all modalities of evoked potentials with high quality results in the laboratory, intensive care units and operating rooms.
  • Performs EEG/EP recordings during neurosurgical intraoperative studies, and advanced recordings during special studies. Performs long term epilepsy monitoring.
  • Assists with, or performs clinical research procedures as directed.
  • Performs standard and complex EEG-evoked potential recordings as ordered by physician.
  • Prepares the patient, explains the procedure and ensures patient's cooperation during the examination.
  • Selects predetermined electrode combinations as well as special combinations made necessary by the case under study.
  • Applies suitable electrodes on predetermined measured positions on the patient's head and checks their performance.
  • Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other such reports.
  • Prepares preliminary reports addressed to the patient's physician.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Certificate Program Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program. Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 1 year Relevant experience. Required

Licenses:

  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Course in electroencephalography or on-the-job training. Upon Hire Required
