WellSpan Health- Dermatology York is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near York, PA

Overview:

Provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients. Assists in direct patient care, performs treatments, administers medications (if qualified and appropriately supervised), and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care, as directed by their provider. Is an active team participant in the patient-centered practice, by aiding in the development of office workflows that support patient centered care. Specific clinical duties and responsibilities can vary depending on the specialty you work at (see applicable competency checklist for department specific duties and responsibilities

Duties:

- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by physicians
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Ensure compliance with medical laws and regulations

Experience:

- Experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred
- Strong patient care skills with a focus on patient service
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and coding
- Ability to take accurate vital signs

Pay: $18.50 - $25.90 per hour
