We’re looking for more than a writer. We’re seeking a creative client advocate with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the ways copy helps clients achieve their objectives. Ideal candidates are not only amazing writers, but also creative collaborators, analytical thinkers, zealous self-starters, and detail-oriented editors who work well in complex environments.
As part of Wells Fargo Experience Design, the Senior Content Designer will contribute to a wide range of projects; from helping to shape brand new digital tools to optimizing existing pages, flows and widgets. We’re looking for someone who collaborates with product owners and designers to create engaging, clear, concise yet conversational copy that makes digital investing simpler.
In this role, you will:
Contribute text content for UI applications like white labeling, B2C email campaigns and more.
Demonstrate a clear understanding of user-flow in web/app design.
Craft and hone language across a variety of contexts from UI components, to conversational building blocks, to editorial/help content in mobile apps and other digital contexts
Elevate and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Collaborate deeply with research, analytics, accessibility, legal, compliance, development and other partners to optimize design solutions.
In this role, this Content Designer will create solutions that are compliant and accessible for all clients.
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Independently resolve moderately complex issues and collaborate with team to meet design deliverable expectations while leveraging solid understanding of Content Design/writing policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with Content Design peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a mentor for lower level staff.
Required Qualifications:
4 years of technical writing or UX copywriting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Deep experience writing across different digital platforms (desktop, mobile Web, and app)
Experience writing for responsive experiences with a mobile-first cross platform mindset
Diverse professional background and industry experience beyond Financial Services
Exhibits positive energy and leadership, as well as a willingness to work outside of a typical content role to deliver holistic solutions to customer problems
Ability to break down complex topics into concise customer-friendly content
Meticulous attention to detail and great organizational skills
Experience working cross-team and managing input from multiple stakeholders
A motivated, self-starter who can juggle multiple projects at once
Ability to consider (and help solve) user problems creatively and critically
Understand how to prepare content for accessibility (ADA) and search engine optimization (SEO)
Comfortable working with both remote and in person teammates and in an Agile environment
A storyteller who draws users into our brand by weaving together a narrative that engages, and then re-engages, audiences along multiple touchpoints
(Someone who possesses) a deep empathy to understand our audience(s), their needs and how to earn their attention and keep it
A ruthless editor who’s willing to cut anything that doesn’t add value
Experience using content strategy and information architecture methodologies to optimize content
Bonus points for having created content for testing methodologies (user testing, A/B or multivariate)

$100,800-179,200.
