Wells Fargo is Hiring a Technology Director - TCOO Platform Site Reliability Leader Near CHARLOTTE, NC

About this role:

The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) group provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.

Within TCOO the Platform & Application Services team we are seeking a Site Reliability Engineering Director to be part of our production support organization to spearhead a major transformation, embracing SRE, DevOps and AIOps principles, practices and concepts. This leader will be responsible for building a best-in-class team, implementing innovative practices, and driving continuous improvement in reliability, performance, quality, and efficiency.

In this role, you will:

  • Execute on the strategic direction and vision for the production support organization, aligning it with overall business goals
  • Oversee the adoption and implementation of SRE and DevOps practices across the organization
  • Champion the use of AIOps tools and methodologies to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Build and foster a high-performing, collaborative team of SREs, automation engineers, and other support professionals
  • Drive the development and implementation of automation solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency
  • Establish and enforce service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure consistent performance and availability
  • Partner with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to ensure high-quality and reliable software
  • Develop and implement effective incident and problem management processes
  • Stay current on industry trends and best practices in SRE, DevOps and AIOps.
  • Develop and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and success
  • Manage a global team of engineering talents
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Develop strategies for hiring Site Reliability engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 8 years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 8 years of experience and expertise in platform and application support within a financial services organization
  • 8 years of experience and expertise in incident prevention methodologies, risk management frameworks, and operational excellence principles
  • 8 years of experience and expertise in cloud infrastructure, containerization platforms, application monitoring tools, and security technologies
  • 4 years of Management experience
  • 4 years of Site Reliability Engineering experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitude
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails, presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience and intent
  • Experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
  • Experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groups
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environment
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutions
  • Experience with Agile transformations
  • Experience with DevOps and/or DevSecOps
  • Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Change Management procedures and tools

Job Expectations:

  • This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship
  • Ability to travel up to 20%

Pay Range

$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
