About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst:

Wells Fargo’s Regulatory and Basel Reporting team (RBR) is responsible for filing regulatory reports with numerous regulatory agencies and currently has many ongoing projects related to the enterprise-wide implementation of data management and the COSO-based governance and oversight framework. RBR is seeking a highly motivated person to work on the Regulatory & Basel Reporting team. Primary responsibilities include supporting all Strategic Initiative projects including Axiom Implementation of the U.S. regulatory reporting. This position requires a good understanding of a System Developments life cycle (SDLC) and a basic knowledge of financial reporting along with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to the fast-paced and ever-changing regulatory reporting environment. This includes working with remote staff based on the RBR global reporting model. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of being an independent self-starter, capable of working efficiently to meet tight deadlines and adapt in a changing environment.

In this role, you will:

  • Work with the Production and Implementation teams to understand regulatory reporting requirements and participate in all areas of Axiom testing.
  • Work with the Production Support team to implement FED mandated changes and enhancements in the Regulatory Reporting platform tool and other related systems.
  • Communicating directly with business partners to ensure reporting requirements are sufficiently understood and met.
  • Coordinating the collection and compilation of data from respective business lines and/or subsystem providers ensuring data files are properly and timely submitted.
  • Early identification of development issues and corrective action to mitigate issues is required with these responsibilities.
  • Assist in reviewing Bank/Bank Holding Company reports such as the Call Report (FFIEC 031), FR Y-9C, FR 2900 and FR 2644.
  • Executing key controls, ensuring data submissions are properly documented and reconciled to the general ledger, system reports and other regulatory reports as required. 

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4 years of Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting, and/or Data Management Information Systems experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Reporting Systems (preferably Axiom) including UAT and other implementation testing.
  • Experience in System Developments Life Cycle (SDLC) in Banking or related Finance domain.
  • Technical and functional knowledge including Experience with implementations/transition efforts.
  • Basic understanding of Balance Sheet and Income Statement classification and regulatory reporting.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple reports/projects.
  • Ability to manage information requests to/from business lines (Data Providers).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) skills.
  • Ability to work under a highly scrutinized risk-control framework with tight deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory compliance and familiar with COSO framework.
  • Working knowledge of the main US Regulatory Reports including FR Y-9C - Consolidated Financial Statements for Holding Companies & Call Report - Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income for a Bank.
