About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Relationship Manager on our Local Government team as part of Commercial Middle Market Banking. Primary responsibilities include managing and growing an assigned portfolio/market by providing an array of solutions to targeted government customers and prospects, including treasury management, deposits and investments, credit and other capital raising options. Local Government’s focus is acquiring and deepening long-term relationships through strategic thought leadership, strong product knowledge, flawless deal execution and superior customer service for medium and smaller cities, counties, school districts, and other essential service district customers. This position can be located in: Ontario, CA or Irvine, CA. Relocation isn't available for this opportunity.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain client relationships within the Government banking space
  • Partner with existing customers in order to fully understand their businesses, goals, strategies and challenges
  • Originate, structure, and execute transactions related to investment banking, commercial lending, treasury management and other credit related products
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Perform effective financial analysis and underwriting in the areas of credit, cash flow and collateral
  • Make decisions and resolve issues to meet business objectives
  • Interpret policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Represent Wells Fargo in the community through conferences and networking activities

Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of Commercial Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous account relationship management experience in Government Banking, Middle Market Banking and / or Commercial Banking
  • Ability to successfully exceed goals with a results focus
  • Advanced treasury management experience
  • Highly motivated to actively participate in conferences, and networking activities to expand knowledge, skills, and professional network
  • Ability to work independently and effectively support clients across a large geography
  • Knowledge and understanding of delivering credit solutions, tax exempt lending, and working with financial advisors
  • Effective negotiating skills and the ability to influence others
  • Strong risk management and compliance skills
  • Demonstrated passion for community engagement and actively seeks opportunities to contribute and make a positive impact
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial or specialty industry group banking products, and the credit practices/operating risks associated with them
  • Knowledge and understanding of credit policy, compliance, and underwriting requirements
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

Job Expectations

Travel up to 25%

Pay Range

$106,300.00 - $188,900.00
