Wells Fargo is Hiring a Remote Risk Analytics Director - Credit Risk Data Product Owner

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Data Product Owner to lead the design and build of our "next gen" enterprise-wide credit data platform - a single platform that sources, stores, and manipulates internal and external data, enabling credit risk analytics and reporting for the enterprise.
This leader will oversee data consumption, include responsibilities for understanding and aggregating the business needs across a wide set of users, designing a target-state set of business requirements, setting and managing a multi-year roadmap for installing the credit platform, and partnering with technology to build it. As the Credit Transformation Data Leader, you will be responsible for championing our data modernization efforts, making the right data available to the right users when they need it.
This leader will also oversee the current credit risk data platforms, including the ongoing responsibilities for consuming, cleaning, and managing the firm's "golden source" for credit risk data.
This role will report directly to the Head of Credit Risk Intelligence and Transformation and will oversee a team of 30 direct reports plus several teams of technologists.
As a part of Wells Fargo's second line of defense and Independent Risk Management team, this covers jobs which lead the design and management of a highly targeted independent credit review (oversight) capability to assess the quality of lending and ongoing management of credit risk within the Bank, including adherence to risk appetite, credit policy and regulation.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead the design and build of a single data platform across all business lines and credit risk teams that meets the needs of a dozen current applications, enabling the decommissioning of existing data platforms.
  • Lead the design and build (in conjunction with technology) of a single data platform that supports both current and future reporting and analytic needs (including artificial intelligence and machine learning models).
  • Own responsibilities for managing our current credit risk data platforms.
  • Consult and collaborate with technology on architecture and design standards, selection of platforms and tools (hardware/software).
  • Develop and maintain a roadmap for managing data quality and measurement standards.
  • Provide leadership in developing and ensuring adherence to a data integrity governance framework.
  • Serve as one of multiple interconnected Product Owners, working together to design and deliver roadmaps and the construction of product-capabilities within Wells Fargo.
  • Collaborate with business partners to achieve consistent agreement and application of definitions, measurements, and interpretation.
  • Serve as liaison to leadership to ensure data integrity strategy is aligned with business strategy.
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large scale, and require consideration of global market dynamics, trends, regulatory impact, and risk management.
  • Prepare executive-level communications on product scope, approach, solution, results, and value drivers.
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 8 years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience managing credit risk data within the financial services industry.
  • Experience designing and building data platforms to include modern data stack and architecture practices.
  • Consistent success in making sound business and data decisions.
  • Organizational courage and willingness to make tough, informed decisions and thoughtfully share independent perspectives.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results.
  • Effective communicator, both orally and in writing; able to ask well-crafted questions and present ideas in a clear and compelling manner; good listener who engenders creative thinking and teamwork; communicate effectively amongst diverse, differing, competing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities.
