Wells Fargo is seeking a senior level Personal and Business Risk Consultant with experience in advising customers to ensure they are adequately prepared for disruptive events. For example, advice on topics ranging from lifelong financial security, aging, health emergencies, and income loss to asset protection, fraud/scams, and unforeseen financial burdens. In this role, you will:
  • Support relationship managers and customers by providing advice on communication, learning, and decision making in the context of personal and business risk.
  • Bring experience in the latest research, legislation, products, trends, and developments in personal and business risk to enhance organizational knowledge and improve the effectiveness of business strategies.
  • Participate in designing research to advance the firm's thought leadership in Advice and Planning.
  • Establish an enterprise point of view on how consumer behavior impacts decisions related to potential risks such as financial security, aging, health emergencies, income loss, asset protection, fraud/scams, and unforeseen financial burdens.
  • Analyze data, identify themes, and draw insights to inform the development of innovative advice tools and resources. Serve as subject matter expert in the accuracy and relevance of advice content.
  • Prepare presentations to communicate personal and business risk insights to internal and external stakeholders including Wells Fargo lines of business, customers, relationship managers, the Office of Consumer Protection, Public Relations, employees, regulators, financial influencers, and communities.
  • Collaborate on business initiatives with teams across the enterprise, including Consumer and Small Business banking, Consumer Lending, Wealth & Investment Management, Commercial, Corporate and Investment Bank, and Wells Fargo employees.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7 years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7 years of demonstrated expertise in financial markets, personal and business risk, risk identification and assessment, insurance strategies, and emergency management
  • Quantitative research methods and statistical analysis skills with proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business growth strategies
  • Successful implementation of innovative and large-scale business strategies working in partnership with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present research and insights to technical and nontechnical stakeholders
  • Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation, Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) certification, or related industry credentials
  • JD or MA / PhD in risk management, finance, economics, or related field
