About this role:

Wells Fargo Auto is seeking an Operations Risk and Support Director in the Operations Support Group who will report directly to the Head Auto Operations.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, a process background, knowledge of the Auto Finance industry and, in particular, all Auto Finance operations processes. They will have experience working on complex problems, identifying areas or risk and mitigating solutions, issues management and regulatory matters. They will also have a strong ability to connect and manage audit and regulatory interactions.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop, implement, and execute business initiatives and programs, as well as be an advocate for Wells Fargo’s vision and business plans across Auto Operations
  • Lead the Auto Correspondence function and implement solutions to increase digitization and reduce risk in this space
  • Lead a team of functional experts in the execution of these programs
  • Partner with Operational Leaders, Controls, Risk. Audit, Customer Complaints and other areas to drive a well-managed operation
  • Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes
  • Identify Business Execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development over the long-term in order to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency
  • Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities
  • Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 8 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of management experience

  • Outstanding strategic, communications and business skills.
  • Deep process management experience
  • A working knowledge of Correspondence operations
  • Ability to prepare executive level presentations
  • Ability to present complex material in a digestible, consumable manner to all levels of management.
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly pivot from one high priority item to the next seamlessly
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
