Wells Fargo is Hiring a Merchant Services Relationship Management and Sales Leader – Growth & Strategy Group Near CHARLOTTE, NC

About this role:

The Relationship Management Leader (also known as a Merchant Services Sales Manager) is responsible for leading a team of relationship managers and sales team members nationwide. Responsibilities will primarily be managing a strategic and growth account portfolio of existing clients across multiple industry verticals. This leader is in a customer-facing role, managing relationships and requires regular in person customer visits. They will work extensively in collaboration with senior leaders in Commercial & Corporate Relationship Management and Sales for Merchant Services during a time of full transformation. Responsibilities will be centered around building teams, establishing objectives, analyzing large amounts of data while developing and influencing strategy, project management, delivering executive level communication and presentations around the transformation and current state of the business. Experience critical for success will include an understanding of Merchant Services, preferably in a sales or customer focus role, demonstrated leadership of building and developing a team in a geographically dispersed environment and an ability to provide appropriate support to field Relationship Managers in a highly deadline driven, solution-oriented environment to further drive strategic opportunities, retaining and growing existing client relationships.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and develop Merchant Services Sales and Relationship Management team while engaging stakeholders and internal partners.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development in complex functions.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, managers, and executives as well as interact directly with external customers.

  • Consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives.

  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources.

  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent.

  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance.

  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data, requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations.

  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans.

  • Supervise transactional tasks and processes to ensure timely completion, quality, and compliance.

  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 4 years of Merchant Services Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

  • 2 years of leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, partner, and negotiate within a matrixed environment to gain commitment to accomplish business goals.

  • 4 years of merchant/payments processing experience.

  • 4 years of sales experience.

  • 4 years plus of coaching and managing large diverse team.

  • 4 years of strategic planning and development experience.

  • Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required.

  • Ability to identify and present enhancements to meet business objectives and/or processes/operational enhancements.

  • Strong analytical skills including strategically analyzing data and diagnosing opportunities/interventions.

  • Ability to translate and present complex data in a manner that educates, enhances understanding and influence decisions.

  • Advanced problem solving and solutioning skills.

  • Advanced relationship management skills with clients, managers, and peers.

Salary range is determined by location of the job. May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long – term incentive awards.

Pay Range

$120,400.00 - $250,000.00
