This is a new position on the team designed to support the quality assurance activities for Merchant Services and will align to credit underwriting oversight of concurrence and decisioning on merchant underwriting files as their primary role function. The QA will be responsible for following procedures to independently source test files and perform Quality Assurance assessments. Underwriting experience will be leveraged to perform decision and concurrence oversight reviews for Small Business Banking (SBB) Underwriting Concurrence. Knowledge of Quality Assurance requirements is necessary to ensure the control(s) maintain compliant execution.
A successful candidate will possess an ability to apply exceptional, independent critical thinking skills and effective application of QA policy and underwriting requirements for merchant services, small business or equivalent. You will be responsible for providing oversight to policy aligned control program(s). Other Quality Assurance program execution and strategic initiatives may be assigned.
In this role, you will:- Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
- Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
- Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
- Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
- Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
- Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
- Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
- Will conduct QA oversight of complex credit underwriting decisions that required analytical skills and understanding of related Credit policies in support of Merchant Services Operations
- Provide Small Business Banking credit underwriting oversight for Fiserv credit decisions
- Execute controls in support of effective FLOD underwriting risk management
- Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group

Required Qualifications, US:- 5 years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Small Business Banking credit and/or underwriting experience
- Quality Assurance testing experience
- Credit risk, commercial underwriting, commercial loan review, portfolio management or equivalent experience in financial services
- Experience identifying and driving process improvements in a complex banking environment; including a strong knowledge and application of controls
- Ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver results
- Ability to draft and present to senior management in a clear and concise manner in written and oral form
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex projects with cross-functional participation
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate professionalism, and proactively escalate issues along with recommendations for successful resolution
- Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
- Ability to multi-task and work in a highly matrixed and fast paced business environment
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities
- Effective communication skills across all audiences
- Professional certifications such as CBCA (Commercial Banking & Credit Analyst) beneficial, but not required
