About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to assist in digital payments modernization journey, to move to Cloud, and implement Experience APIs and Digital Payments Microservices. This role is to design and implement a robust payment solution, and guide, and mentor a team in the modernization effort. The role is crucial to implement a scalable, resilient, dependable, stable and secure solution. The person will lead the team to implement the end-to-end solution from design till the deployment in production.In this role, you will:Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impactAct as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplinesDesign, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programsReview and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factorsMake decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentorRequired Qualifications:5 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5 years of Proven experience in software development, with a focus on building Cloud applications5 years of Proficiency in programming Java Spring applications, experience with relevant frameworks and librariesDesired Qualifications:5 Solid understanding of cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and API integrations5 years of experience in designing and deploying Mongo DB solutions for large scale highly available applications5 years of Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and mentor junior engineersExpertise in designing and developing highly available, scalable, resilient and secured customer facing financial applicationEnterprise scale Cloud implementation experience is a huge plus specially experience in Financial Retail Channels such as (Payments, ATM, Branch etc.)Experience in harnessing the power of Cloud to create cutting edge solutions that push the boundaries of innovationDemonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testingStrong understanding of Design Patterns and Best PracticesExperience with adaptive and responsive development techniquesStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environmentFamiliarity with agile development methodologies and a track record of delivering complex projects on timeBachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related fieldJob Expectations:Ability to work on call as assignedThis position is/not eligible for Visa sponsorship.This position offers a hybrid work schedule.Relocation assistance is/is not available for this positionPay Range$133,300.00 - $237,100.00BenefitsWells Fargo provides all eligible full- and part-time employees with a comprehensive set of benefits designed to protect their physical and financial health and to help them make the most of their financial future.
