About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Retail Investment Research Analyst in Global Securities Research (GSR) as part of Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WIFI) in Wealth & Investment Management (WIM). This role will support investment research for Fixed Income securities related to Corporate Bonds and Preferred Stocks where you will be responsible for providing timely, well-supported advice on fixed income securities to retail Financial Advisors and Wealth Managers. Advice and guidance on fixed income securities is delivered through written publications and personal interactions with Financial Advisors. In this role, you will:
Conduct fundamental fixed income research of corporate bonds and preferred securities
Cover several industry sectors
Evaluate individual securities, classes of securities, or the development of quantitative decision making models
Provide prescriptive advice on individual securities
Communicate risk suitability recommendations for new offerings
Develop and maintain information on credit ratings of corporate, municipal, or state fixed income issuers
Write research reports to reflect company, sector and market developments
Provide unique and differentiated insight for industries under coverage
Potentially co-manage fixed income recommended lists
Required Qualifications:
5 years of Retail Investment Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
5 years' experience in investment research related to equity, municipal bond or corporate bond
Experience speaking with Financial Advisors to answer questions and deliver guidance related to individual investment securities
Experience publishing clear and concise research publications on fixed income issuers for either internal company use or for broader publication
Demonstrated ability to identify and execute on sound investment decisions on individual securities
Experience researching investments in Bloomberg
Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
Able to work in a highly collaborative and flexible environment
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or MBA
