About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Marketing Consultant – Social Media to join the Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Marketing Social Media team. The team focuses on launching and managing social media programs for WIM. The Lead Marketing Consultant will develop relevant social content to support our field of advisors and drive client engagement. The consultant is responsible for effective platform, content and engagement strategies as well as helping to identify and implement innovative social media tactics, capabilities and technologies.

The successful candidate also will be responsible for educating our Financial Advisors on how to use social media and approved platforms to grow their business and enhance relationships with their existing clients.

The right candidate will possess a strong social media and communications background that includes experience in educating end users on how to use social media to drive business growth. In addition, candidates should be able to communicate effectively at different levels of the organization and have experience in working within a sales-like environment and/or working directly with financial advisors.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on social media best practices, process, and policy within WIM.
  • Ensure regulatory reviews and retention of process milestones and approvals from Legal, Risk, Compliance and business partners are met.
  • Coach, train, and support financial advisors leveraging social media for business purposes.
  • Provide front-line phone and email support for WIM social media field participants
  • Support for onboarding new participants onto social media middleware platforms
  • Deliver virtual and/or in person training to Financial Advisors.
  • Drive the adoption of social media and digital marketing capabilities by the distributed social sales teams.
  • Continuously learn and maximize the use of social media for financial services, specifically LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Measure Advisor program content effectiveness though analyzing data and monitoring performance
  • Create detailed performance reporting for stakeholders and senior leaders including optimization recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3 years social media marketing experience within financial services industry or other highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in Wealth and Investment industry, including knowledge of financial advisors, solutions and products for affluent, high and ultra-high net worth clients
  • Experience using social media and associated publishing platforms for business purposes
  • Experience coordinating and developing paid, owned and earned social media or digital marketing assets
  • An ability to identify issues, risks, proactively solve problems, and make recommendations in a logical manner
  • Strong collaboration/relationship building skills; with a focus on teamwork and cross-organizational partnerships
  • An ability to craft stories with data and present learnings in a cohesive and visually compelling manner
  • A consumer-centric mindset and a desire to drive best-in-class experiences for internal and external customers
  • Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
  • Experience with marketing tracking tools and technologies 
  • Experience establishing key metrics/benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of engagement strategy and issue management
  • Experience with social media management tools and digital analysis
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • FINRA registration including Series 24 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)
  • FINRA registration including Series 7 (or FINRA recognized equivalents)

Job Expectations:

  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
