About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer for the Consumer, Small and Business Banking Control Committee Governance team.
This role is responsible for partnering with their relevant business group to develop and maintain a strong control environment leading to the early identification and sustainable mitigation of operational risk. Responsible for Risk Identification & Assessment, Control Design & Evaluation, Issues & Control Deficiencies, Control Governance & Reporting, and Control Programs.

In this role, you will:
  • Facilitate/support line of business and group level risk committees in adherence with the requirements of the Committees policy.
  • Creation of committee materials, partnering with business, 2nd line and control partners.
  • Maintain and preserve materials, minutes, and action items discussed in the committee meetings.
  • Follow up on action items and escalations.
  • Partner with committee chairpersons to develop the agenda and ensure that all risk topics are appropriately covered.
  • Respond to materials requests from enterprise partners.
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5 years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, with professional/executive presence
  • Ability to partner with multiple levels of the organization, including senior leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience working with executives, senior managers and subject matter experts across Wells Fargo
  • Experience writing and editing internal communications, including corporate and executive level communications.
  • 3 years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts
  • Knowledge and understanding of ever-evolving regulatory environments and governance processes.
  • Experience with governance and oversight requirements for regulatory and risk reporting
  • Experience working within committees.
  • Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability.
  • Experience with large-scale process transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management principles: leading a major initiative.
  • Experience in risk and control
  • Meeting facilitation experience in leading discussions that result in consensus and commitment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of governance program development and implementation in a large organization across multiple business functions.
