About this role:
The Finance Transformation Office (FTO) is looking for a Quantitative Model Solutions Director who can drive the modernization of model, analytics and data capabilities. This role needs advanced quantitative, programming, and consultative skills to incorporate solutions within business processes and drive efficiency.
The FTO is focused on Finance organization-wide technology & tool strategy, as well as prioritizing and executing on key modernization initiatives including automation, analytics, agile transformation, and culture.
As a member of the FTO, one has the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities including model re-engineering, data and cloud strategy, analytical process design and optimization, forecasting methodology development, workflow automation, tools development, and thought leadership.
In this role, you will:
  • Lead two or more specialized teams of managers and professional individual contributors in model operational and optimization processes, controls, assumptions, and strategies incorporating knowledge of design thinking and modern technology (e.g. Cloud)
  • Oversee and partner w/ Technology to develop and optimize data systems and leading the team in creating high-quality, scalable data solutions that meet business objectives
  • Deliver moderate to highly complex solutions for stakeholders and internal partners and identify opportunities and strategies to ensure long range planning for process improvement
  • Provide expertise using theory and mathematics to synthesize and communicate concepts into practical planning to build organizational effectiveness through strategic operations
  • Provide expertise in developing and testing architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling, including AI / Machine Learning
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals, managers, and senior leadership
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Quantitative Model Solutions
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 8 years of quantitative model solutions or quantitative model operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5 years of experience in data engineering role
  • 4 years of management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing, validating, implementing, and monitoring quantitative models for credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk or capital management
  • Familiarity with core forecasting processes, such as balance sheet and NII, interest rate risk, liquidity stress testing, capital stress testing or other related areas
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools for data analysis and modeling, such as Python, SAS, R, SQL, Java, C
  • Experience modern API, data and cloud technologies and approaches
  • Expertise in designing, building, testing, and deploying scalable and robust data pipelines, platforms, and architectures, using cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proficiency in developing, deploying, and monitoring AI solutions, such as machine learning models, natural language processing systems, and generative AI
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and results to senior management, regulators, auditors, and business partners
  • Leadership skills and experience in managing teams of quantitative analysts, model developers, or model validators
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, engineering, or physics

Pay Range
$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
