The Enterprise Functions Technology (EFT) group provides technology solutions and support for Risk, Audit, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Corporate Properties, and Stakeholder Relations business lines. In addition, EFT provides unique technology solutions and innovation for Wells Fargo Technology, Enterprise Shared Services, and Enterprise Data Management. This combined portfolio of applications and tools are continually engineered to meet the challenges of stability, security, scalability, and speed.
Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) team provides technology support for team member focused applications and processes, including payroll, benefits, learning and recruiting. We are seeking Lead Data Engineer who will support applications that are used by Wells Fargo's 270,000 employees, over 1 million external job seekers, and more than 4,000 HR professionals. This role will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Data Warehouse.
Position Responsibilities and Expected Outcomes:

• Work on complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale software planning for the Technology area
• Perform data analysis and modelling tasks within a data warehouse environment.
• Perform query and PL/SQL tuning in an Oracle database.
• Design, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications and report the issues to engineering and product leadership
• Review and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives for business, operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors
• Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change
• Strategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve highly risky data engineering challenges

Required Qualifications:

• 4 years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 3 years of experience in development within a data warehouse environment
• Star/Snowflake schema data modelling experience
