About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Officer to join the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Control team, with a dual reporting line into the Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) Control Team. This Control role will support both WIM and CIB lines of business, with dual reporting to the Control Management Executives for each area.
The primary purpose of the role will be to drive coordination in managing common risk and control challenges as they arise, including regulated user communications (capture, surveillance), regulated records, associated persons of the regulated entities, best practices supervision and monitoring, and deployment of tools and technologies in regulated businesses. This role will collaborate with the business control aligned coverage teams across both groups, as well as the respective COO teams in the lines of business.
A strong understanding of CIB and WIM businesses is crucial to this role, including extensive experience with broker dealer and swap dealer regulations in institutional and/or wealth management lines of business, as well as commercial applications of key controls with respect to those regulations in one or both of those lines of business. The preferred candidate will have a demonstrated ability to apply expertise, judgment, and leadership to autonomously drive analysis and conclusions, identifying key areas of risk, efficiency and/or opportunity, and to build consensus across separately managed lines of business in order to achieve common understanding and cohesive approaches.
The candidate will also have a keen ability to formulate and lead governance routines, as well as influence via informal networks, strong written and verbal skills to facilitate reporting for senior management and stakeholders, and experience managing testing and regulatory reviews across various subjects.
Required Qualifications:
7 years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
Substantial knowledge of CIB and/or WIM businesses.
Extensive experience with broker dealer and swap dealer regulations.
Experience with executing upon regulatory deliverables.
Ability to effectively communicate with business heads.
Keen attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Adaptability, especially in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Range
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00Benefits
