Wells Fargo is Hiring a Credit Risk Specialist / Wealth & Investment Management Near CHARLOTTE, NC

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Specialist. The Credit Risk Specialist will be part of the WIM Credit Risk Loss Forecasting team and will be responsible for data aggregation, analysis, and interpretation of Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) loss and allowance forecasting. 

In this role, you will:

  • Execute Loss Forecasting submissions for WIM, which will include delivering key insights to management and collaborating with key stakeholders.

  • Review and analyze data to assess and predict risk and monitor performance that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables for portfolio stress tests.

  • Ensure appropriate assessment and governance of quantitative and qualitative models that are owned and utilized by WIM.

  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand WIM’s credit portfolio, products, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

  • Receive direction from leaders.

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

  • Interact with internal customers.

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Advanced expertise in MS office tools including Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Understanding of wealth management client segmentation.

  • Understanding of basic economic data and its impact to credit portfolio performance.

  • Understanding of market risk.

  • Experience in data integrity issues and data governance.

  • Understanding of complex databases and ability to navigate and query data effectively.

  • Understanding in Python, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, SQL will be an added advantage.

  • Comfort with challenging assumptions, formulating defendable hypotheses, and ensuring high quality results.

Pay Range

$73,100.00 - $129,900.00
