About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Control Management Specialist. The Wealth & Investment Management Evidenced Based Control Evaluation (WIM EBCE) team is part of the Control Management organization evaluating whether controls are well-designed and operating effectively. The approach is tailored based on the Risk and Control Self-Assessment. EBCE supports risk management in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and is responsible for performing evidence-based evaluations while documenting outcomes based on policies and procedures.
In this role, you will:
Evaluate the effectiveness of assigned controls to mitigate risks associated with the activities and operations of the assigned business group
Collaborate with Business and Control Management stakeholders to ensure appropriate level of subject matter expertise involved in discussion
Escalate identified deficiencies to appropriate parties for evaluation under the Enterprise Issue Management Policy
Monitor and report on the status of engagement responsibilities, escalating roadblocks as necessary to ensure adherence to established timelines
Adhere to the requirements of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and governing Control Management Policies and Procedures
Provide support to Business and Control Management stakeholders in the interpretation of policy, guidelines and governance programs
Timely complete all assigned training
Employee will be a Regulated User and must comply to the terms of an Associated Person of the Broker-Dealer
Required Qualifications, US:
2 years of Risk Management or Financial Services industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Control evaluation, testing and/or Audit experience
Experience assessing processes, procedures and identifying controls
Experience in identifying gaps between controls, and in control execution, through risk based testing
Experience creating test questions or test scripts
Assists with the development and enhancement of the business control environment through execution of the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program.
Provides ongoing monitoring and assessment of operating/control environment to identify significant gaps and weaknesses and determine root cause of control issues.
Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with business and functional areas
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
BS/BA degree or higher, or other advanced degree
Job Expectations:
The selected candidate must be located in one of the listed work locations. This position is expected to work on site three days per week.

Pay Range:
Summit, New Jersey: $76,300-135,700 annually
Charlotte, North Carolina: $63,600-113,000 annually
Minneapolis, Minnesota: $63,600-113,000 annually
