Wells Fargo is Hiring a Consumer Technology Business Services Director - Risk and Controls Governance Near Des Moines, IA

About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a dynamic and innovative technology business leader who brings vision and passion to the risk, controls and governance arena of our Consumer Technology group. The Consumer Technology Business Services Director - Risk and Controls Governance will lead the coordination of risk mitigation program for Wells Fargo's Consumer Technology function. The leader will engage and partner with the Technology controls executive and provide leadership and direction to Consumer Technology leadership to ensure that processes and procedures are in place to effectively monitor and manage CT related risk. The executive will ensure a coherent organization of all risk elements, ensure consistency in the aggregation of risks, identify and manage emerging risk that stems from technology activities and ensure risks associated with activities are managed effectively.
In this role, you will:
  • Establish an innovative product operating model in how we support our risk and control environment across the consumer technology
  • Lead the innovation strategy required to automate the risk and control environment across the consumer technology space
  • Partner with engineering, product, independent risk, audit, and technology control teams to operationalize control automation governance across the consumer lines of business
  • Enhance the planning, execution and governance of our risk and control discipline to ensure holistic management of all risk, regulatory, reporting, policy and control execution for consumer technology
  • Manage and develop a highly specialized Technology Business Services team and managers with focus on delivering moderate to high complexity service for cross functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the functional area or who are affected by its outcomes
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and risk control development by utilizing research and data in addition to in depth understanding of organizational goals, priorities, and technology while developing executable strategies and plans
  • Lead Technology Business Services team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet high risk deliverables
  • Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for technology business functions with moderate to high level of complexity and risk
  • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals including technology industry leaders, financial industry leaders, analysts, and regulators, as well as interact directly with more experienced leadership and executive management
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Business Services
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 8 years of Technology Business Services experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 8 years of leadership or management experience in a technology environment
  • 8 years of experience managing related projects and programs
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of strategic elements of financial, operational, technical, and regulatory environments across a complex global services environment
  • Ability to articulate business strategy and operations, translating organizational strategies into clear objectives and business action
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and partnerships across a diverse set of IT Leaders and business partners
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical, and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment
  • Proven experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
  • Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style
  • Experience in financial services industry
  • Ability to travel
Pay Range
$173,300.00 - $359,900.00 Annual
