Wellpoint Care Network is Hiring a Clinical Therapist - BGC Near Milwaukee, WI

 

Wellpoint Care Network is seeking a competent, compassionate, and career-oriented professional to serve as our Clinical Therapist – Boys and Girls Club.

Job Purpose: 

Our next Clinical Therapist – Boys and Girls Club will provide evidenced based treatment in a community setting to ensure wellness and stability for youth and families.

Duties:

  • Provides effective clinical services to caseload of clients through the community-based clinic branch.
  • Assess individuals and families for trauma.
  • Individual, family, and group therapy utilized evidenced based treatments.
  • Develops and effectively implements treatment plans in conjunction with the client and his/her parent(s) or guardians.
  • Demonstrates client progress on treatment plan goals. 
  • Employs a trauma informed care perspective in treatment.
  • Demonstrates family investment and participation in treatment planning and ongoing treatment.
  • Assists families in crisis resolution and de-escalation through developing appropriate crisis plan.

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or equivalent, LCSW or LPC required.
  • Two years post masters experience providing individual, child, group and family therapy preferred Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Personal attributes necessary to work with other department directors and staff.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, and meet agency auto insurance requirements.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, detail oriented, highly effective verbal, and written communication skills 
  • Demonstrate an ability to effective understanding and practice of cultural humility and ability work and communicate respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficient in the usage of computer software; demonstrate an understanding of computer file systems and databases, e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, Teams, ADP, etc.

Position Details & Extras:

  • Full time.
  • Regular travel in personal vehicles is required with the ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Willingness to work beyond normal working hours: evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Hybrid on-site/remote work is available with reliable broadband connection.
  • Involved with students, personnel, family members, visitors, volunteers, interns, government agencies, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
  • Subject to dysregulated clients, students, family members, etc.
  • Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) - Wellpoint employees may be eligible for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. 
  • Interaction with personnel, clients, family members, visitors, volunteers, interns, and vendors under all conditions and circumstances. 
  • Fast paced, flexible work schedule includes evenings and some weekends to accommodate program need.
