How you make a difference
The MAT Clinical Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating the provision of medication assisted treatment services within a specific area. This includes overseeing program development, implementation, and supervision of the Medication Assisted Treatment initiative. The role requires leadership, vision, and oversight to ensure the delivery of effective and high-quality treatment services.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, manage, supervise, and coordinate the provision of MAT services to patients, providing leadership and collaborating with an integrated team.
Assist in program design and expansion of MAT services, including staffing and professional education.
Provide clinical supervision and direction, as well as staff development, for staff providing services at the site level.
Direct clinical services at the expected level of licensure and scope of practice, overseeing healthcare staff training and assigning clinical responsibilities.
Communicate with facility administrative staff and facilitate cooperation in delivering MAT services.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Minimum of Independent Licensure with a Master's Degree in clinical/counseling psychology or social work from an accredited college or university or be a graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing with a current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state in which employed.
Other substance abuse certification would be desirable though not required.
Experience
Experience in the coordination and administration of behavioral health or medical service delivery systems as well as knowledge and/or interest in the provision of integrated behavioral health/medical programming within a multidisciplinary framework.
Professional experience in the behavioral health or medical field that indicates knowledge of management and supervision techniques, peer review, data collection and quality assurance.
Experience successfully navigating a correctional healthcare setting in which there are multiple stakeholders and needs to consider while maintaining the patient's needs as the primary focus.
Licenses/Certifications
Related certification may be applicable based on specific state requirements.
