Mobile Phlebotomist Job Available in Scottsdale, AZ

Wellness Labs is looking for skilled Mobile Phlebotomist that will be assigned specific routes and locations along with one in person clinic shift once weekly to draw blood and pickup various samples from patients and facilities. A Mobile Phlebotomist’s responsibilities include maintaining a safe and sterile work environment, assembling all medical instruments and supplies before preparing patients for blood draws, and picking up any pre-drawn or collected samples from the facilities you visit.

A successful Mobile Phlebotomist should be detail oriented and have sound knowledge, and practical experience with standard blood drawing practices and safety protocols. The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, and be able to carry out all duties without causing injury to patients.

Mobile Phlebotomist Responsibilities:

• Traveling to specified locations to draw blood samples as required;
• Gathering mandatory information from patients and verifying their identities;
• Disinfecting extraction sites using alcohol swabs;
• Locating suitable veins and extracting blood samples using clean needles;
• Cleaning puncture sites and covering them with gauze, cotton-wool balls, or sticking plasters;
• Appropriately storing blood samples in accordance with established guidelines;
• Accurately labeling blood samples;
• Maintaining accurate patient records, which includes detailing any medical issues experienced by patients during venipuncture procedures that may affect the accuracy of test results;
• Transporting collected blood samples to the laboratory for testing.

Mobile Phlebotomist Requirements:

• Proven experience drawing blood samples at least 1 year experience;
• Certification through the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), National Health Career Association, or American Medical Technologists (AMT);
• Valid driver's license;
• High school diploma or GED;
• Completion of a post-secondary education phlebotomy program;
• Sound organizational skills;
• Excellent hand-eye coordination;
• Effective communication skills;
• Detail-oriented.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday Shift start times will vary but can start at 6am.
• On-Call Weekends
