Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. As the final point of contact between the factory and our customer, this role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

The incumbent in this position supports the activities and responsibilities of the Manufacturing dept.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Must have good hand and eye coordination.

Will be required to learn and perform different tasks.

Must understand the differences in the fasteners, screws, staples, etc. required to build.

Must be proficient in using various hand tools (drill gun, staple gun, glue gun, etc.).

Will be required to learn a variety of paint and or stain colors and/or wood species depending on the department.

To advance to Builder 2, must have 1 years experience or equivalent training skills.

  • Builder 2:

Will be required to learn a variety of paint or stain colors and/or wood species.

Must be able to run all saws and required to set up machines.

Will be required to build more complex product than the level 1 Builder.

To advance to Builder 3, must have 1 years experience as either Builder 1 or Builder 2 and have advanced cabinet or product knowledge and skills.

To advance to Builder 3, must have 1 years experience or equivalent training skills.

  • Builder 3:

Must be able to run all saws and required to set up machines.

Must understand the correct order of steps.

Must have extensive product knowledge of cabinet parts.

Will be required to assemble specialty cabinets using tools provided.

Must be open to learning as new product is introduced to the plant.

Will be required to learn a variety of paint and stain colors and wood species.

Will be required to learn the functionality of the product being produced.

Required to notify production lead person or Supervisor of a problem or issue.

Good interpersonal skills, ability to work well with other employees

Tools, Machinery and Equipment:

  • Tape measure
  • Various tools depending on assigned job (staple gun, screw gun, hot melt glue gun, various saws and/or machines).

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in planning, prioritizing and time management.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timely completion of tasks.

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Working Conditions:
