The role you’ll contribute:

AdventHealth Senior Care is looking for a Training Manager will have oversight and management of the training analysts and activation support team and will ensure the development and implementation of effective training plans for assigned projects. The Training Manager will collaborate with the Senior Manager of Clinical Operations to support training of quality initiatives for the organization. They will also collaborate with the training delivery manager for the region as well as medical group leadership to identify, assess, prioritize, and address training and development needs among practice end users. The Manager will maintain objectivity by assessing and prioritizing training needs based on performance and compliance in respect to training plan goals and targets. They will provide leadership and guidance to their team members to ensure standardized delivery among the medical group and Physician Enterprise.

The Manager will collaborate with the Physician Enterprise Practice Performance team to ensure that training content is developed and constantly refined to improve outcomes, and to ensure the training delivered supports the process improvement and optimization targets identified by the Practice Consultants and Executive Director. The Manager will need to build and maintain effective relationships with Senior Care customers as well as peers and other members of the Physician Enterprise Practice Performance team through collaboration with clinical, financial, operations, and access team representatives to ensure the designed training strategies and education programs support best practice work flows.

The Manager will maintain and display subject matter expertise in the Athena Collector and Clinicals applications, Cerner Ambulatory application, Epic and in-depth experience with helping offices achieve quality measures through strong leadership skills.

  • Support the training efforts related to athenahealth, Cerner and EPIC, other software applications, and continuing education training across the medical group
  • Deploy a wide variety of training methods, reimagining creative and innovative tools, techniques and approaches to achieve excellent comprehension, proficiency, and performance results for end users.
  • Assess the delivery of effective functionality and workflow training to end users.
  • Serve as a liaison between Senior Care and Physician Enterprise and Adventist Information Technology (AIT) teams.
  • Facilitate assessment of workflow processes before, during, and after system implementation.
Qualifications


The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Possesses an extensive knowledge of adult learning styles and training delivery in support of physician practice operations including adoption of practice management and EHR systems.
  • Possesses knowledge of how to identify education and training needs in a healthcare setting and participate in related program development and instruction.
  • Possesses extensive experiencing implementing and coordinating traditional and modern training techniques and methods.
  • Demonstrates ability to complete full training cycle (asses needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate) within ambulatory healthcare environment.
  • Possesses knowledge in healthcare operations, information technology, revenue cycle, physician practice operations, clinical operations, nursing workflow, physician workflow, and medical information management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • High School graduate required
  • 5 years training experience in a healthcare environment
  • 3 years physician practice operations experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

  • Experience with AthenaCollector, AthenaClinicals, Cerner and EPIC
  • Other HER implementation and training experience
  • Knowledge of quality reporting and physician practice regulatory programs (e.g., HEDIS, MACRA)
  • Expertise in process mapping and process mapping tools.
  • Project management experience.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in adult learner education/teaching experience
  • Experience with process improvement methods and tools, e.g., Lean/Six Sigma
