Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mobile Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The Mobile Phlebotomist will be responsible for drawing blood samples from patients in various settings, including homes, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Travel to different locations to collect blood samples from patients.
• Verify patient information and ensure accuracy of labels on blood specimens.
• Follow established procedures for specimen collection and handling to maintain sample integrity.
• Communicate effectively with patients to explain the phlebotomy process and address any concerns or questions.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines during sample collection.
• Maintain proper documentation of all collected specimens and related information.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and laboratory staff for specimen processing and transport.
• Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in mobile phlebotomy vehicle.
• Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on phlebotomy techniques and best practices.
• Drop samples to lab at the end of shift.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
• Certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., CPT, PBT) preferred.
• Proven experience as a Phlebotomist in a healthcare setting, with mobile phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture and capillary puncture.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a mobile healthcare setting.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screening as required by healthcare regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
