The Welding Certification Center is a private welding school dedicated to providing the very best training to those individuals looking to become welding professionals. We set the bar high and therefore have high expectations of our students and staff. We are currently looking for a Facility Maintenance/Lab Technician for our Pomona campus.

Job Summary

The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for all things related to the welding facility. We are looking for employees who are team players, detail-oriented, energetic, enthusiastic, pleasant, friendly, respectful, have a strong work ethic, are not afraid of hard work, and enjoy coming to work everyday. A qualified candidate for the position of Facility Maintenance Technician with our school, will possess the following skills/qualifications:

1. Knowledge of metal working power tools to include horizontal band saw, drill press, belt sander, angle grinder, die grinder, and metal cutting chop saw

2. Knowledge of common hand tools related to metalworking and general machine maintenance

3. Ability to MIG weld and plasma cut, preferred

4. Experience operating a forklift

5. Knowledge and ability to cut and fabricate with mild steel

6. Ability to pay attention to details

7. Ability to follow instructions precisely

8. Ability to follow and adhere to written policies and procedures

9. Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot

10. Desire to be proactive ad innovative

11. Ability to keep facility clean and organized

12. Ability to follow through on assigned tasks and duties

13. Ability to interact with students, co-workers and administration in a professional and courteous manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
