    SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing technical support to staff, students and parents of the Weld RE-4 school district. Duties are day- to-day upkeep, maintenance, repair of instructional technologies. I.e. computers, chromebooks, laptops, cloud software services and wireless technologies.
    DISTRICT REQUIREMENTS:
    • High school diploma or equivalent;
    • Successfully pass physical abilities test;
    • Criminal background check required for hire.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft, Apple and Google Chrome Devices;
    • Experience with Microsoft, Apple and Google productivity software;
    • Experience with computer hardware and peripheral upgrades,
    • Experience troubleshooting Printers, Copiers and FAX machines.
    • troubleshooting and repair of computers technology;
    • Experience with troubleshooting WiFi
    • Experience with networking (DHCP, VLAN, routing, network hardware, etc.)
    • Experience with data and voice cabling (Fiber optic, CAT 5e and 6, POTS)
    • Good communication skills;
    • Good with customer service;
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associates degree or higher;
    • Certifications; CompTIA A , network Microsoft, Cisco, or IT related certifications
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Assist end-users with instructional technology
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
    • Support and manage:
    • Installation and maintenance of computers;
    • Installation and maintenance of peripherals;
    • Cleaning of computers and related peripherals;
    • Hardware and software upgrades;
    • Image and re-image computers as necessary or required.
    • Provide training in one-on-one or small group settings on basic technology use.
    • Stay current on new technologies.
    • Collaborate with school/location leadership to advise on new technology adoptions and implementations. Attend school technology committee meetings (if applicable) as a resource.
    • Participate in Technology Department meetings to support all department team members. Assist with department-wide projects. Provide and attend cross training sessions.
    • Maintain accurate inventory of technology equipment for school(s)/location(s).
    • Log all service tickets into the designated tracking system.
    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS: Valid Colorado’s driver’s license.
    TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: At-will Employee. Work year and hourly rate to be established by Board of Education. Shall receive benefits of sick leave, retirement, and the usual policies that apply to classified personnel. Vacation time is established by Board policy.
