    Salary: $65,000
    Contract Length/ Days: (October 2023-July, 31,2024/ 260 Days Full-time) This position is grant funded. While we are working on securing additional funding, at this time we cannot guarantee the position beyond 7/31/2024
    Benefits: As a contract position, this role does not include full benefits. We are, however, able to provide you with a $500/month stipend to use towards purchasing health insurance on the marketplace.

    Education/Experience:
    Required:
    • A minimum of 1 year demonstrated experience in applying expertise across all current types of marketing communications skills and channels, including but not limited to: writing, editing, website management, social media strategy, email marketing, brand development or oversight, message development, storytelling, and multimedia and video production.
    • Experience in event planning, venue management or a related field.
    Preferred:
    • A bachelor’s degree preferable in communications, marketing or other related fields. OR comparable work experience
    • Experience in environmental education
    • Demonstrated experience working in/managing Client Relation Management systems.
    • Experience creating compelling marketing or communication materials for a wide range of audiences, particularly those in educational settings
    • Demonstrated success in building relationships with members of diverse populations
    NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
    The outreach and rental specialist is responsible for day-to-day and annual oversight of The Poudre Learning Center’s marketing and event management efforts. Works in partnership with the staff and board members to align and sync vision, strategy, planning, and projects. The outreach and events specialist oversees organizational branding, traditional media, social media, website, data visualization, coordinating and executing events. They provide written communications for marketing collateral including press communications, website and online platforms, and fundraising materials as needed. A successful outreach and event specialist should be driven, creative, and goal-oriented, with a passion for creating memorable marketing materials and events that exceed the expectations of their clients and guests.
    Essential Functions:
    • Develop and implement communication standards and guidelines
    • Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, website, e-mail,and presence at community events etc.)
    • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
    • Collaborate with Greeley-Evans School District 6’s Department of Communications and the Success Foundation to develop marketing and fundraising materials including but not limited to flyers, videos, and brochures.
    • Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, on time and on budget;
    • Stay current on research, best practices, and industry trends related to the marketing and nonprofit landscape. Report key takeaways to the leadership team.
    • Maintain up-to-date calendars and outreach databases, related to both fundraising, partnerships and events
    • Plan and coordinate events at the venue, meeting with clients to understand their technology requirements, and timeline, and ensure that events run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Network with other event industry professionals to develop client base
    • Set up and break down tables, chairs and PLC decorations
    Additional Qualifications:
    • Align with the PLC’s core values: environmental stewardship, educational equity, interdependence and innovation
    • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, audience engagement and customer service skills.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google suite, and creative software or applications used for design
    • High level of attention to detail, independent work style, work on a team, and excellent organizational skills.
    • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays.
